Installing LPG in an X-Series Ford Crossflow 6 Print E-mail
This excellent series of photos and descriptions from the user "FoX" at the xFalcon.com Forum:

Off comes the manifold. all the vacuum hoses, all the cooling/heater hoses, out they came...
took a good 4 hours to get to this point, was being VERY cautious as we needed to be able to go back to how it was if it failed on us...

So next was to fit/ensure the new manifold fitted...
A lot of hoses and small items were re-routed to make way for it.

As you can see, I played with the intake a little, it's where i wanted it to go originally...
But it left VERY little room for the filter...
So i pulled it off...

I cleaned all the manifold as throttle body as it was very dirty inside,
ran the new accelerator cable and added a second spring as the pedal felt WAY too light...

Meanwhile, dad rigged up a new bracket for the new converter, came out VERY nice if you ask me, we put a LOT of planning into its position, and it all paid off, the last bracket was placed and then belted with a hammer till it was out of the way lol...
Well here we do things properly:

So next was the full fit, including newly purchased pod-filter and fancy "clear red" vacuum hoses... not to mention a gas line that is a full meter long but still 5 cm too short!!!

All i can say, is the car is WILD!
Its stock (kinda) and on gas, Id love to have driven one on fuel, if it has more HP than this then it would be fun!
At the moment it will kick-out from 1st to second and chirp from 2nd to 3rd...
it has so much more top end power, and its response time is amazing,

You might be a racer if:
You enjoy driving through wet, empty parking lots and using the emergency brake to kick the back end out.
