EDEL YACHT has been producing quality boats for more than 40 years, and is now well established as a leader among the builders of performance cruising catamarans.

Having demonstrated its qualities throughout the world, particularly in the very demanding charter industry, the EDEL CAT 35 holds excellent performance and safety records that other boats can merely emulate.

The EDEL CAT 35 has been ideally designed to provide exhilarating sailing while accommodating 8 persons in full cruising comfort. Each hull contains two private double berth cabins, separated by a head complete with washbowl and shower (optional). The bridgedeck cabin features an 8-person dining table, chart table and full galley with stove, double sink and huge ice box. All interiors are beautifully finished with solid wood, teak and holly cabin soles and textured gelcoat,

The boat hulls and the integral shoal keels optimize hydrodynamic profile and performance to windward, Attaining speeds in excess of 20 knots is quite typical. The low-windage bridgedeck cabin allows for exceptional visibility and access to the entire deck, while the sleek underbridge design eliminates wave slam. A high beam-to-length ratio ensures extreme stability and safety in even the roughest seas.

A generous 721 square feet of sail area, a fully battened easy-to-reef main, a furling jib, and the most reliable fittings complement the hull design and contribute to fast, uncomplicated cruising.

The hull, deck, and bridgedeck are constructed of reinforced molded fiberglass. Deck and hull are joined under pressure, and the hull skins are reinforced with Klegecell foam core, the hulls are also fitted with a high-density polyurethane foam core to create a positive flotation vessel. EDEL CAT hulls and bridgedeck are molded independently. The two hulls are then strongly united by three extruded alloy crossbeams upon which the bridgedeck is mounted. The rigidity achieved by this crossbeam construction is far superior to that of traditional single-mold designs.

EDEL Catamarans, "High Performance Cruising"... no longer a contradiction of terms !
